After a long period of restoring, Alessandro Casciani opens in 2001 his Enoteca Aenos in the heart of the antique part of Bolsena, where he was born over 50 years ago. After years abroad, wherever as gourmet and “bon vivant”, he turns back to his origins, where today he works as so called “aenotherapist” and wants to be an ambassador of quality wines from Italy’s “golden triangle”, meaning Lazio, Tuscany and Umbria. Since years he is assisted by Anna Christine von Gablenz (questions for organisation or translation directly to her!) who divides his passions: offering to friends and guests a quiet and cosy atmosphere, well selected music in the background and a good glass of wine, if wanted accompanied with appetizers, have good conversation with people from all over the world and enjoy the tasty presentation of wines with a touch of elegance and magic.

The wine-bar is located in the centre of Bolsenas medieval part in the upper part, right in front of the Castello /Museum. Inside it provides underneath an Etruscan wine cellar carved in the tufostone, offering enough space for group wine tasting or private parties, the bar room on the main floor is originally from the 12 th century. Tables and seats outside make part of the beautiful setting of the medieval centre, from where you can spot even a sight to the lake.
